AMS-25-10 heat flux sensor has a linear Schmidt-Boelter thermopile that generates a millivolt output directly proportional to the net absorbed heat transfer rate to the thermopile sensing element. The sensitive portion of the sensor is at the center of the diameter front face of the transducer. Schmidt-Boelter thermopiles absorb heat at the front surface and transfer the heat into the body normal to the absorbing surface.
